HR Pros From A+E, Bright House and Comcast Earn Excellence in HR Honors  

Jennifer Tracy (pictured at left), Senior Director of Talent Acquisition & Diversity for Bright House Networks, has been selected as CTHRA’s 2015 Aspiring Leader. A+E Networks’ Compensation & Benefits Team and Comcast’s HR Leave of Absence Team each garnered a Team Innovator Award. The trio will be featured in an article in the September issue of Cablefax Magazine, and they will be honored at a special luncheon during CTHRA’s Future Forward HR Symposium on November 3rd in Philadelphia. Neil Smit to Headline Hiring Heroes Session at Future Forward Symposium

This year, nearly 250,000 veterans will leave the service and return to civilian life. The skills they fine-tuned in the military make them highly valuable in the eyes of industry employers. It’s a subject that has special meaning for former Navy Seal Neil Smit, President and Chief Executive Officer of Comcast Cable. At CTHRA’s Symposium, Neil will detail Comcast NBCUniversal’s bold plan to hire 10,000 reservists, veterans and their spouses or domestic partners between 2015 and 2017. Medicom Awards Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow

Mediacom Communications honored 14 graduating seniors with the Mediacom Entrepreneur of Tomorrow Award. The recipients were selected based on their work ethic, academic performance and personal accomplishments. Each student received a $1,000 college scholarship. Through Mediacom’s World Class Scholars Program, September 11th Memorial Scholarship Fund and Entrepreneur of Tomorrow Award, the company has provided college scholarships to more than 1,300 students nationwide since 2001.
