On April 1st and 2nd, senior-level HR executives from across the cable industry convened in New York City for CTHRA’s Think Tank for HR Executives. This event always focuses on critical and emerging topics, and this year’s dialog centered on defining the HR role relative to an ever-morphing marketplace, workplace and workforce expectations. CTHRA Nets Two New Board Members
CTHRA is pleased to announce two new appointments to our Board of Directors: Robert Fodge, Vice President of HR Business Services for Comcast, and NJ Pesci, SVP of HR Domestic and International Business for Scripps Networks Interactive.

College Cash for Cable Industry Employees, Spouses and Children
The Mid-America Weary Scholarship Foundation will award six scholarships of $3,000 each to cable industry employees, their spouses and children in the Mid-America region. The scholarship is funded by the late Cable Pioneer Robert Weary. Applications are due by June 16. For more information, click here.

Member Accolades
CTHRA Board Member Eric Hawkins was promoted to Executive Vice President (EVP), Human Resources Management, at Discovery Communications!  Eric will continue to oversee Human Resources Management for all of Discovery's U.S. networks and joint ventures and he will also now oversee the Corporate Global Organizational Talent Review (OTR) as well as Discovery’s new HR 2020 initiative.  [read more]
